The digestive disease’s department include the medical and surgical specialty.
Together, gastroenterologists, hepatologists, doctors performing endoscopies and surgeons will decide on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the digestive tract.
Diseases of the digestive tract include:
- Diseases of the gastrointestinal system: oesophagus – stomach – small intestine – large intestine – rectum – anus
- Disorders of the liver and biliary tract disease: liver – pancreas – gallblader – and biliary tract.
- Diseases of the abdominal layer: inguinal, crural and incisional hernias, rectal prolapses.
- Diseases of other intra-abdominal glands such as spleen and adrenal glands.

The wide range of knowledge and techniques covered by the field of “digestive diseases” has led us to focus our activity in the following areas:
- Digestive oncology by using laparoscopic surgical techniques and interventional endoscopies.
- Surgical treatments of the gastrointestinal, pancreatic, hepatic and biliary tract diseases.
- Diagnosis and treatments for inflammatory bowel disease: ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease
- Surgical treatments of abdominal incisionnal hernia
