Organization of the inpatients department

Ms Dominique Massare, Head Nurse of the Department of Urology, is responsible for nursing care and accommodation. The nursing team is composed of 15 nurses, 4 nurse aides and 1 porter.

Ms Tounsia Sahridj, the department housekeeper, directs a team of 8 domestic staff. Ms Bernadeta Clusz is the ward secretary.

The inpatients department

The inpatients department is composed of 30 beds, distributed into:
24 one-bed rooms
3 two-bed rooms
Patients are admitted at 3:00 p.m. on the day before the operation or even in the morning of the operation, when authorized by the doctor. Patients can be discharged daily, even on Saturdays and Sundays.

The operating room

The Urology unit has two operating rooms for major surgery, endoscopic surgery and laparoscopic surgery, an outpatient surgery room and one technical room for treatment by thermotherapy and ultrasound for patients with prostatic diseases.
After the operation, the patients are transferred to the adjacent recovery ward, before returning to their room.
Operations are performed from Monday morning until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
